Angela is a waitress in Northern Texas. She has a question that, to be honest, I’d like to know the answer to as well.
I’ve been waiting tables wince I was in high school. Now, 3 years employed in the service industry, I have a question about black people that I’ve never had the courage to ask. Why do black people like fruit punch so much?
To go along with the fruit punch questions, are these questions:
- Why do black people think every restaurant has fruit punch?
Not a single restaurant that I’ve worked at (3) has ever had fruit punch as a drink option.
- When I tell you we don’t have fruit punch, why is your next choice always some variety of lemonade?
- If we have neither fruit punch OR lemonde, why is your next choice always sweet tea?
- If don’t have fruit punch, lemonade, or sweet tea, why do you have to huff and puff?
Thanks. That is all.
I have noticed this trend as well. I really don’t know the answer. I mean, maybe Dave Chappelle was right?
